Adrian Orange releases tour only web only limited edition cdr. FIVE NEW RECORDINGS effected out of sense. They may be versions of songs to come. Or they may never reappear… They are definitely what Adrian & Family did up at the studio did on and off for the past few weeks. WARNING: VERY MELLOW! I put them here. I also made a small sound sample for you. Oh and too, we are going to make some screen shot t-shirts out of that absurd Pitchfork review Her Band got… Stay tuned…

Got this image from these folks via Honey.

I figured Pitchfork would finally pay attention to Adrian’s music once it was on K, but I never guessed whoever would review it would be so ridiculous. I mean, I should have because it’s Pitchfork, but still.
Anyway, yes, I hope that t-shirt idea is not a joke.

i made the design for it today.
it seemed like the writer hadn’t listened to adrian’s other albums. also paige from ww made a good point that if the writer liked the backing band, he could give adrian some cred for having written all those parts (minus ben’s wild improv’s and some jammings).

I agree. Also, I said this earlier today on the Mount Eerie forum.
“I like (read: dislike) how the guy reviewing the album talked about how some people will forgive Adrian’s shortcomings as a singer, but it’s like he didn’t even consider at all the fact some people might just actually really love the way he sings. Because I definitely do. It’s not like I’m sitting there listening to his albums forgiving him the whole time.”

right, the vocals. those that make adiran orange adorable? this is an unflattering juxtaposition? Okay, so we have to neglect the greatness of Un, Daniel Johnston, the Cherry Blossoms. tha dudes over at fork must hate Deerhoof, huh? Or is “flower flower flow-oo-ah” profound enough to pass… I mean, fuck Dylan, right?

Well, this is the same site that not only respects absurdity like 50 Cent enough to review his music, but gave one of his albums 7.0.
